The Sacramento PEMA chapter holds it's regularly scheduled lunch meetings on the
third Tuesday of each month in Sacramento. The September and December meetings are replaced
by the Annual Charity Golf Tournament and
Holiday Mixer.

Mercury Methylation in
the Delta & Strategic Workplan in the San Francisco
Bay/Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta Estuary
Tom Kimball works for the State
Water Resources Control Board Division of Water Rights as the Chief
of the Bay-Delta Unit. He has a Bachelor’s degree from UC Davis in
Environmental Biology and Management, and more recently, a Master’s
of Marine Science from Moss Landing Marine Laboratories. Tom has
worked in the Environmental Health field for many years with a
background in Aquatic Toxicology, environmental sampling and
analyses and mercury biogeochemistry. His presentation will include
a summary of his research on mercury methylation in the Delta, and a
brief introduction to the "Strategic Workplan for Activities in the
San Francisco Bay/Sacramento-San Joaquin Delta Estuary" adopted by
the State Water Board in July, 2008.
